Belt it

Cause if you like it then you shoulda put a belt on it.

Excuse me for the late posting, I am currently in the process of moving homes and it has been taking up majority of my time. I promise more exciting posts coming up!

Here's a little update to your everyday - all black outfit. I paired these leather look-like leggings with a furry jumper and luxe accessories.

Winter Style

As the title suggests, hibernation season has arrived at our shores and that means it is time to start thinking about revamping our wardrobes. Seeing as we (obviously) like to keep warm and are going to wear the thickest sweaters and high ankle boots, I thought I would offer a few other options to hype up your winter outfits (whilst sticking to a core colour code, which will go along with almost anything).

Leather pants

the number one essential to looking chic whilst keeping warm. It is the understated garment that keeps coming back into fashion and can work its magic whether you're sporting a sweater, oversized coat, or even an over layered skirt (if Vogue's Christine Centenera can pull it off - so can you!)

Loafers

the most comfortable, still feel like you're in your pyjamas, boyish looking, Olsen Twins style shoes. I am utterly obsessed! This is great for those days it doesn't rain or if you're heading to a casual dinner.

Scarf

investing in a thick, knitted scarf will go a long way. If you stick to neutral colours it will go along with anything.

Books

there will come a time when it is too cold to leave the house and on those days you are going to want to have something to do, so why not educate yourself with a style book?! Prepare for the next season to come and stay stylish in winter too.

Glasses

seeing as the majority of our bodies are going to be covered, why not find a chic pair of glasses to stand out from the crowd. Bailey Nelson has really affordable cool frames that come in a variety of shapes and colours - its worth checking out!

Cuffs

supporting the glasses argument, unless you're planning on wearing a statement necklace or earrings - cuffs are your best bet for not overdoing the look. Pop them on top of your sweater or long sleeve tops' cuffs and voila!

Moisturiser

winter also appears to be the time of the year when we drink less water so keeping one of these tubes in your bag should do the trick.

Vintage Cool

Sometimes dressing carelessly can come out looking vintage cool, especially when heading out to Melbourne's prominent coffee-lovers area of Ripponlea. In this part of town - mixing patterns is the aim of the game. Embrace the untidy with a plaid shirt, half tucked in, patterned loafers, a touch of confidence and voila!

Boyish

It could merely be that I have been closely following The Man Repeller blog or that I am preparing to style a men's editorial shoot, either way - I am certainly inspired to dress in a boyish manner today.
And really, what's not to love? The low crutch pants, flat loafers and cotton shirt attire is tailored perfectly to my needs today - a comfortable outfit I can run around in and yet remain professional looking with a touch of rebellion (hence the messy hair!).

After a hectic week of photoshoots, work and volunteering at VAMFF I was ready to get into comfortable gear and take it easy. These Zimmermann pants have served me well over the past few weeks, they're so versatile as I have worn them dressed both up and down. I don't go anywhere without my Birkens these days they are incredibly comfy and are slightly hipster. Lastly, my new Balenciaga bracelet - an investment piece that creates a statement and simply goes along with anything and everything, well worth the $$!

Ms Birger

By Malene Birger fedora, T by Alexander Wang top, Paige denim pants, Seed Heritage espadrilles

Growing ever so popular during this year's Paris fashion week, By Malene Birger had been seen on bloggers from Fashion Toast to Camille Over The Rainbow and made me want to have a piece!
The moment this fedora hat sat still on my head I knew this was a new level of fedora standard, the inside is made out of satin so it is not as harsh on your hair as your average fedoras that are made out of wool. The shape is so unique, it is consistent in the sense that it doesn't move much however when you look at it from different angles it provides completely different looks. To sum up - I'm in fedora heaven!
