After a hectic week of photoshoots, work and volunteering at VAMFF I was ready to get into comfortable gear and take it easy. These Zimmermann pants have served me well over the past few weeks, they're so versatile as I have worn them dressed both up and down. I don't go anywhere without my Birkens these days they are incredibly comfy and are slightly hipster. Lastly, my new Balenciaga bracelet - an investment piece that creates a statement and simply goes along with anything and everything, well worth the $$!

If you have seen me around lately you would of noticed I am low bun obsessed - so easy to produce and is the perfect disguise on a bad hair day. Highly recommend a try. Ashley Olsen has been recently spotted in this trend too just by the way..

As for the denim jacket, it is one of those articles in my closet that I often tend to revisit. 

To my surprise, this particular jacket does not only include the awesome back feature but it is super warm and has both inner and outer pockets (score!) and if someone like Alexandra Spencer is going to wear it, I'm on it!

Keeping it casj with a pop of leopard - heading out for a burger on a warm evening.

This skirt has served me on more occasions than I can count, having that staple piece that a. goes along with anything and b. is so comfy and not too restrictive (you ladies know what I mean, especially when heading out for a heavy meal ;) ) is a must in any girl's wardrobe!

Leather pieces are my ultimate go-to in my closet - pants, skirts, bags, shoes, tops, jackets, dresses… It's one of those materials you just can never go wrong with wearing.

Simultaneously, a hint of denim is often appropriate to throw in the mix. 

This Witchery shirt is simply the softest, most perfect denim shirt (that's not made out of denim), which makes it easy to wear and looks more delicate and that little extra dressy than the usual grunge-style denim shirts.

Over the past couple of years leather has certainly made a big comeback and looks like its here to stay. Hence, if you haven't already, it will be wise to invest in a few pieces. As shown it is easy to mix and match with both garments and accessories to add that bit of edge and sophistication to your everyday look.

The three essential leathers that can be worn in-between-seasons (got to love Melbourne weather) that you need to consider adding to your closet are croc, soft and shiny leather. 

Add a finishing touch to your outfits by adding a hint of leather either one at a time or combined!

Got to love snuggly day-wear such as this thick scarf from Kookai on a cold Melbourne day, a piece which never disappoints as it is not only great at keeping me warm but also compliments many other staples in my wardrobe. 

It may seem surprising but I find that warm / cold wardrobe colour palettes impact the way you feel and therefore in winter I often choose to wear more vibrant lively colours as oppose to the blues and greens.

Overall this is a good way to up-do a casual outfit - replace your jersey leggings with leather or leather like material, put away the monotone flats and get some pattern / vivid coloured ones and add on a staple scarf and clutch whose colour can match various other colours in your wardrobe (my suggestion: either earthy or your blacks/whites/greys).

You know those days that you just honestly cannot be bothered putting together an outfit and having to think of what goes with what? Well this was one of those days.

In a hurry to get out for dinner I quickly teamed up these Asos sporty pants together with a white singlet and added a splash of colour! Simple and out the door in no longer than 10 mins!

Double knitting on a cold yet sunny day was the way to go to a lunch in Brighton. This cute knit with zip detail is so warm - it kept me distracted from my freezing bare legs! The leather heels are my first (and not last) pair of Wittner shoes, which I have to admit are not only beautifully constructed but are very comfortable. Ultimately I have realised that autumn does not constrict me of wearing my favourite mini / midi skirts, as long as the rest of my outfit is relatively warm, which I am very pleased about!

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this pastel coloured fence that complimented my attire while stumbling streets together with my no. 1 photographer Eddie New.

The subtle edginess that comes from wearing a rock band tee is understated in my opinion. Using bold colours and eye catching graphics is clearly the way to go on a night out. Nonetheless, these Senso heels are my new favourite rockstars - one of my most comfortable chic pair yet! There's nothing better than heading out feeling both edgy and comfortable.
