Feminine Outings

When heading out for a girls night we all want to dress to trend, feel attractive and wear those expensive heels that have been sitting in their box for the past few months since they are just that extra inch too tall for dancing. White blazers continue to be one of my biggest fears to wear out, due to the likelihood of it getting ruined. However, if I head out to a classy lounge where there is room to move, I know I can breathe easy. Feeling attractive comes down to sexy lingerie, whether someone else is going to see it or not, as well
as a feminine touch of accessories. So next time you head out for a girls night, stay classy and don't forget your whites.

Girls Night Out

Boyish

It could merely be that I have been closely following The Man Repeller blog or that I am preparing to style a men's editorial shoot, either way - I am certainly inspired to dress in a boyish manner today.
And really, what's not to love? The low crutch pants, flat loafers and cotton shirt attire is tailored perfectly to my needs today - a comfortable outfit I can run around in and yet remain professional looking with a touch of rebellion (hence the messy hair!).

All Black

Helmut Lang jacket, Cotton On dress, Vintage Princess bag, Alexander Wang boots, Roger David beanie

On days when the sole occasion is browsing and shopping I often insist on wearing black. It will go with anything you may try on in addition to making the process of getting dressed in the morning a lot easier / quicker. So, all black is a go for me today!

Also - sorry for the lateness of posts, been working on some exciting new projects, which will be hitting the blog soon. Watch this space.

Black on Black

Black on Black

Simple, bold and a touch of feminine.

Black Stripe Leopard

Sportsgirl tank and long sleeve top, Helmut lang skirt, Topshop boots, Alexander Wang bag, Ellery Sunglasses

Casual chic recipe. Cat eye. Bold stripes. Geometric shaped skirt. Ankle boots. A touch of leopard.

Smart Casual

Helmut Lang jacket, Pencey Standard tee, Sportsgirl pants, Diavollina heels, Kenneth Jay Lane necklace

Another sunny yet cold day in Melbourne that made me decide to cover up everything besides my feet. Fell in love with these heels not long ago and cannot seem to get enough (on the days that allow me to wear open shoes of course). As you would of most likely noticed I lurveee leopard print. I like to keep my outfits casual smart so pointed heels and tight fitted jackets have the thumbs up from me! These polarised Ray-Bans are always a favourite and add a touch of colour when needed.

Double Knit

Sportsgirl beanie & sweater, Helmut Lang skirt, Wittner heels

Double knitting on a cold yet sunny day was the way to go to a lunch in Brighton. This cute knit with zip detail is so warm - it kept me distracted from my freezing bare legs! The leather heels are my first (and not last) pair of Wittner shoes, which I have to admit are not only beautifully constructed but are very comfortable. Ultimately I have realised that autumn does not constrict me of wearing my favourite mini / midi skirts, as long as the rest of my outfit is relatively warm, which I am very pleased about!

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this pastel coloured fence that complimented my attire while stumbling streets together with my no. 1 photographer Eddie New.

Rockin' Tee

Helmut Lang blazer, T-bar tee, Sportsgirl leggings, Senso heels, Alexander Wang clutch, Asos beanie

The subtle edginess that comes from wearing a rock band tee is understated in my opinion. Using bold colours and eye catching graphics is clearly the way to go on a night out. Nonetheless, these Senso heels are my new favourite rockstars - one of my most comfortable chic pair yet! There's nothing better than heading out feeling both edgy and comfortable.

Smooth Criminal

Helmut Lang jacket, T by Alexander Wang tank (worn underneath), Joe's Jeans denim, Sam Edelman heels, Ray-Ban sunglasses

For some reason sleek hair and a sharp looking jacket can provide the look of sophistication whilst remaining rather 'smooth'. I decided to keep this outfit casual chic, having a go at an 'in-betweener' boyfriend jeans (I'm not quite there yet.. I love my skinnies too much) together with heels and this beautiful Helmut Lang piece I have become accustomed to wearing on a daily basis.

For those who know me it is no surprise that I got "yet another" Clare Vivier clutch. These little beauties are so easy to carry, the soft leather and sleek lines add a lot of character and the colour attached a vibe to this piece.

Fall Edit

Fall Edit

It is always best to be prepared for the changing of seasons. Here are a few fall essentials to get you started.

Light knits, bright beanies, oxfords, bomber jackets, leather leggings and a metallic clutch will be featured in my closet this year!

LMFF

Friend of Mine Cadillac Blazer, Helmut Lang Skirt, Sportsgirl top & heels, Lovisa necklace, Samantha Wills ring, Yves Saint Laurent clutch

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Loreal Melbourne Fashion Week alongside my bestie Eddie New to watch the independent designers' show. I love seeing the up and coming talents as they often have a fresh view of fashion and the looks are more urban than high fashion. Nonetheless, I find that the established brands' shows mainly consist of garments that are already available in stores and therefore do not offer anything new for people who are fashion trends aware. My favorite designers from the night were One Fell Swoofs and Strateas Carlucci.

As for my outfit, I decided to keep it elegant and wore this Friend of Mine blazer which I absolutely adore due to its differentiated length - It provides a slimmer appearance and is a true classic in my eyes! Helmut Lang skirts always do it for me in terms of edginess. Finally, I knew it would be a night where lots of walking around is required so i had to go comfortable and these Sportsgirl babies have never disappointed, looks and comfort wise!

Photos from the show will be up soon, until then here are a couple more shots of the outfit:
