Ms Birger

By Malene Birger fedora, T by Alexander Wang top, Paige denim pants, Seed Heritage espadrilles

Growing ever so popular during this year's Paris fashion week, By Malene Birger had been seen on bloggers from Fashion Toast to Camille Over The Rainbow and made me want to have a piece!
The moment this fedora hat sat still on my head I knew this was a new level of fedora standard, the inside is made out of satin so it is not as harsh on your hair as your average fedoras that are made out of wool. The shape is so unique, it is consistent in the sense that it doesn't move much however when you look at it from different angles it provides completely different looks. To sum up - I'm in fedora heaven!

Winter certainly diminishes the opportunity to jewel up an outfit when it comes to fine necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Luckily my solution to this deficit is to nominate a stylish hat as the standout accessory - the fedora!

My love for beanies (as previously seen..) only grows each winter, however at times I also feel like switching the hipster, laid back look into something more sophisticated - that's where the fedora fits in perfectly. Especially on bad hair days, it can be worn with your hair down, in a low aesthetic bun, in a messy french pleat etc etc.. and always provides this sense of volume.

Whilst black is a predominant choice as it would compliment most outfits, you'll be surprised how much brown, red and grey add to the overall look.

Here's your kick start to how to wear these babies:

Boho Luxe

General Pants fedora, Topshop sweater and necklace, Spell Designs bag, Bardot shorts, YSL ring

The in-between seasons time of the year is by far my favourite. This is the time when you can rock out your maxi skirt with a singlet and a jacket, you could wear shorts and a jumper or even a summer dress with a cardigan - there are no limits to mixing up your wardrobe with garments from both summer and winter. Above is a boho luxe outfit I have put together for this occasion.
